2012-A Year in Pictures....Ok Some Words Too....

So 2012 was a pretty amazing year.  I feel like the name of the blog, "Blessed Be:" fits so appropriately to our life; we are to tremendously blessed! This past year we didn't hit as many countries as 2011 in our travels but that's ok, we had some other great things happen to make up for it ;) It's always fun to look back and see God's hand in our life and how much He provides love and grace to us-it's easy to forget that sometimes.

First thing of the year was Matt's trip to Switzerland for a men's retreat-he's going again this year and is very excited about it!

In February we bought my beloved Harlequin.  He's been such a source of fun, happiness, and frustration at times.

But we've made some big hurdles (ha ha) this year and I look forward to what this next year brings me with him-I'm always learning and growing with him which is all I ask from him.  And not to mug me for goodies so much! We also competed in March and placed in both classes which I was quite pleased with. We shall see how we fair this coming year.

May brought a fun trip to the UK to visit friends who left us too early.  We went to England and had some good times with N&E.

Then Matt and I headed to Scotland after visiting N&E-I would go back anytime! It was so lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Summer time brought friends for the season-riding with Liz was just one highlight that I hope we get to repeat this year!

We saw a play at Curium with Bob and Haley who sadly moved away this summer-we miss them so much!

August took us to Crete for a quick weekend-it was so nice to get away even just for a little while.

September brought Steve and Sarah for a visit-of course we had a blast getting dirty!

We also went to Italy (my true love when it comes to countries!) with S&S and enjoyed not only Rome but Pompeii and the Almalfi coast.  I could stay there forever....

November took us back to the states for the month.  First up was my sister's wedding-it was so great to welcome Scott into the family and see her looking so very lovely! I couldn't be happier for them and can't wait to see what life brings them!

We also made it out west to see the house and visit some friends. We might have done some sight-seeing too!

Matt was so happy to finally get to spend some time with his bestest friend (other than me of course!)

For the first time in years, Matt got to spend his birthday with his family! I don't that's happened since about 2006.

And this was also our first holiday with Matt's family since we've been married; actually before that! It was great to spend Thanksgiving with them!

Those Moritz men enjoying some fishing! At least 2 are happy right??

And that brings us to December and a very happy.....

....and merry Christmas with my boys! We finally got a sweater picture with Joey in Cyprus! And of course it being Harley's first Christmas with us, we couldn't keep him out of it!

Christmas morning was very exciting-bowls of cereal, watching "Christmas Vacation", and opening presents. After we took our sweater pictures though! This year actually felt Christmasy to me which was crazy considering we both wanted to be wearing shorts while taking our photo-75 degrees baby!

Dinner was served on the plates that I made in ceramics.  That's right, I  painted them!

We wish you a very merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and endless blessings in the coming year.  We know we are so blessed and pray for all of our loved ones that 2013 will be the best year yet!! Who knows what it may entail?

Sorry this is such a long post-so much has happened this year! I'm hoping to get better at posting regularly-we have some great trips in mind this year and I'm going to start videoing Harley and me more often so looking forward to that! I hope 2013 is ready for us, because I sure feel like we are!
